Our sinuses are hollow spaces in our facial bones designed to help moisturize the air we breathe. Each of these is connected with an opening to the nose that serves as a catalyst for the exchange of air and mucus. Problem arises when these sinuses get plugged trapping mucus inside and then serving as possible breeding grounds for harmful microorganisms particularly viruses, fungi and bacteria which are considered as the main causes of this disorder.
